Tips to keeping it all together while travelling - steps to cultivate greater health in your life



1.    Dress comfortable and stylish. Key to comfort while travelling is where quality basic soft textures that are comfortable. It doesn’t mean you can’t add some classical pieces with a twist or edge to style up your look. Try adding a stylish timeless scarf or wrap, you will need it on the plane when the air condition is on! Or carry a stylish hat or the latest new coat or oversized off the shoulder jumper for a relaxed and stylish look.
2.    Hydrate all the way. While on the plane strive to drink as much water as possible at least 1-2 liters depending on how long your flight is. When you dis embark, the first stop is the toilet then to refill your drink bottle so you can continue to re hydrate your body.  This will also help your mind and brain be sharp for that business meeting you are rushing off to make.
3.    Meditate: Take time out on the plane to meditate. Download a guided meditation before you leave, or try relaxation music with soft relaxing tones of water and rain. You could begin your meditation by visualizing you are lying in your favorite destination, a beach or beside a running river. Feel you whole body relaxing and drifting into a deep state for meditation relaxation, almost as though you are about to fall asleep.
4.    Exercise: Pack your walking shoes. Try a walk after your flight to help with blood circulation, especially after a long flight.
5.    Nutrition: Walk to the supermarket once you arrive, so you can get your healthy snacks for your hotel room so you don’t get caught out without healthy options. This could be a small list of green apples, bananas, a small cucumber, celery sticks, coconut water for extra hydration, gluten free crackers, almonds or any vegan snack bars which are becoming more and more available in the health food section. Look out for Raw Bars.
6.    Classes: Check out your local gym or yoga classes. Schedule in time for you. Remember we all have twenty-four hours in a day. You deserve to take 30 -60 mins of that to exercise.
7.    Creative time: Pack your journal and your favorite book. Essential for your flight. Become aware for reading too many gossip magazines on the plane. Choose your reading and time wisely while flying. This time can be used as relaxation or time out to dream about your goals and aspirations in personal or career life.
8.    Network:  While flying remain open, networking is a wonderful way to meet like-minded women, whether that is in business or personal. It can be a great opportunity to talk to someone next to you in the que, sitting beside or waiting in line for the toilet on a long flight. You never know who you may meet while travelling, or maybe you can offer some kindness to someone next to you. 9.    Sleep:  Getting the right amount of sleep is everything. It can address your mood, energy, sugar cravings and clarity. Do you know how much quality of sleep you need to feel balanced and energized? Or do you wake up feeling groggy, a but achy while travelling? When we sleep well we become more resilient to stress and have a stronger immune system.
10. Vitamins: Pack your essential vitamins. Taking the right balance of nutrients, minerals and vitamins can be life changing for many women. Magnesium powder is highly beneficial while flying and travelling.
